q Confirm date and time

Mark you calendar when you ACCEPT an invitation to a SAM Buying Session.  You don't want to miss out a

          great deal!

q Call with questions AHEAD of the session

You'll be notified at least 24 hours in advance of a session.  Take a minute when you get the invitation and

look at the offering.  If you have questions, call your station AE while it's fresh on your mind.  It will give

you the advantage during the SAM session.

q Have your invitation printed and on hand

A "cheat sheet" is always helpful.  The session details are available on the screen but sometimes

its easier to take a quick glance off screen when the buying session is active.  Plus, you'll have

          your notes readily available.

q Decide your maximum bid BEFORE the session

If you know the amount you're willing to pay for the offering you'll be able to develop and execute the best

buying strategy.  It sounds funny but, it's easy to get caught up in the moment when the buying is fast

and furious.  Know where you're going and you'll find the best way to get there.

q Consider a bid strategy

Now that you've finalized your budget for the buy, give some thought of how to "play" the session.  You can

be aggressive early to shut out the other bidders or you can lay in wait to see what happens and grab it at

the end.  The more you use SAM the better idea you'll have of what kind of buying strategy works for you.

q Sign-on five minutes early

When you arrive early, it gives you time to take a final look at your prep materials.  You'll be there for the

start.  Also notice when your fellow buyers sign-on.  Last minute buyers may not be as mentally prepared

          as you are.

q Provide feedback to the station

Your SAM team is constantly looking for ways to improve your SAM buying experience.  If you have any

suggestions or complaints, please don't hesitate to let the station know or tell us directly by clicking here.
